Course Description:
This comprehensive training program is specifically designed to educate workers in Ontario about the safe practices and regulations related to working around powered mobile equipment. Construction projects in Ontario fall under the governance of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and Ontario Regulation 213/91, particularly PART III, EXCAVATIONS. Participants will learn to identify hazards, implement controls, and understand the critical role of spotters when interacting with powered mobile equipment. Additionally, the course covers safe working procedures, recognizing equipment blind spots, and effectively managing situations involving overhead utilities to ensure workplace safety and compliance.
