Course Description:
Toolbox Talks, daily informal safety briefings, are a vital component of construction site safety. “Toolbox Talk Leadership and Compliance in Construction” is a comprehensive training program designed to equip individuals in the construction industry with the knowledge and skills required to effectively lead Toolbox Talks while ensuring compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Ontario Regulation 213/91, which govern construction projects in Ontario.

This training program is designed for a diverse audience within the construction industry in Ontario, Canada. It includes construction supervisors and managers responsible for leading and ensuring legal compliance of Toolbox Talks, safety officers dedicated to safety adherence and leadership, contractors and subcontractors obligated to fulfill legislative duties while conducting effective Toolbox Talks, and occupational health and safety professionals specializing in construction and ensuring strict compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Ontario Regulation 213/91.
Course Objectives:
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Explain the Legislative requirements for leading toolbox talks, and the duties of all workplace parties involved.
- Effectively lead toolbox talks.
- Plan a Toolbox Talk from start to finish.
- Effectively present the planned Toolbox talk.

Assessment:
