Course Description:
This training program is designed to educate workers in Ontario about the safe practices and legal regulations governing material handling and storage in construction projects. With Ontario’s construction industry regulated by the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Ontario Regulation 213/91, this course is essential for ensuring the safety of all involved parties. Participants will learn to recognize the significance of manual material handling safety, identify risk factors, and master the process of hazard management. Additionally, the training will demonstrate how to prevent injuries during material handling, explain when and how to use mechanical aids, and outline the requirements for establishing a robust material handling and storage safety system.
