Complete gas pipeline hot tapping tasks in the neighbourhood.
This module requires trainees to perform the proper tapping and stopping activities for three different tasks. The first task is for main abandonment, the next is for a main extension, and the third for a cutting out a section of mainline pipe. As the trainee is performing the necessary steps to complete the tapping and stopping activities, they are exposed to Abnormal Operating Conditions (AOC’s). These conditions can vary from losing mainline pressure during the stopping process to the excavation filling up with high levels of gas.
